The Paganini Music Festival of Carro is dedicated, in general, to musical virtuosity and with a particular attention to the selection of international ensembles and solists who have been inspired by Niccolò Paganini.
We are proud to announce that the Paganini Music Festival has received the EFFE Label 2015-2016 from the EFFE International Jury. EFFE – Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe, initiated by the European Festivals Association, is the portal for citizens and for professionals to discover and get involved in Europe’s festivals. It is a new international festival platform connecting festivals that are deeply committed to the arts, their communities and European values. The platform invites audiences worldwide to access up-to-date festival information and participate in festivals across Europe.
Above all EFFE recognizes the immense excellence of these festivals in their daily local work all across Europe.

Maria Serena Salvemini, Molly, is a special child. Before she was even born, she was diagnosed with a serious malformation for which they recommend therapeutic abortion: she had only a 30% chance of surviving! But her mother, Daniela Carabellese, is not there and continues her concert activity carrying her in her womb. Operated at birth, Molly opens her eyes for the first time to the notes of Bach, whom she knew well! At ten months her first steps and the first violin, an instrument from which she has never separated: a violin for life!

PAGANINI DAY – August 14th
On the occasion of the 20th edition of the Festival, a PAGANINI DAY will be held at the end of the Festival which will take place in Carro: throughout the day in various parts of the country various groups of young instrumentalists will perform short concerts of Paganini and contemporary music. . In the afternoon there will be a debate meeting on Paganinian themes, and everything will end in the great evening concert, with a world-famous Ensemble.

Meeting where the speaker, direct descendant of the great musician, talks about his lineage, the Paganini family and the violinist’s bond with Parma, his youth, the violinist as a man and his affections, through the letters and episodes of his life.
